Container for the transport and storage of wine. Almost spherical in shape with an elongated neck, it was covered in “schiancia (Typha angustifolia)” and straw. The capacity ranged from 2.5 liters up to half a liter. Today it has largely been replaced by the Bordeaux bottle but is still on the market.
